Welcome
The main purpose of this site is to publish my book on John's Gospel.
However, as this may be of rather limited appeal I decided to include other articles of a more general interest. I'm learning to write web pages
at the moment and I'm practising on this site with different layouts. Even if the page looks very different you should easily find your way back.
My Book
A few years ago I wrote a book on John's Gospel but it got trapped in an old computer.
Now it has been released and is available here as a free download in PDF
format. The book is a detailed
exegesis of Chs. 1 - 4 of John's Gospel
You Can Do It!
This is the title of a beginner's book on computer programming that I contributed to by
becoming the test student. The book,
A Beginner's Introduction to Computer Programming ,
was published in December and has already had a reprint. Discover how I
learnt how to program in C++ and as a reward was described as a small furry animal on the back of the book.

Other Writing
I enjoy reading, I love research and seem to write a lot too. I have written over 200
articles on assorted subjects some of which can be found online under various pseudonymns. Here I have included
miscellaneous articles on subjects as diverse as Newton, the nursery rhyme Ride a cock horse, funerals, and intend to add anything else that grabs my attention long enough for me to
to pick up a pen.
Biblical studies
This section will include essays and notes on biblical topics. There is one essay at the moment, on
the Parable of the Unforgiving Servant, my dissertation on the problem of evil entitled
Divine Punishment as a Problem in Theodicy and some annotated links to biblical websites.
